2023 TRANSMOTO EVENTS: 2023 CALENDAR UPDATE

With the lingering heat of that Indian summer finally giving way to cooler weather … well, do we need to spell it out for you, loam lords? Yep, prime riding conditions is what we’re talking about! Which makes it the perfect time to check in with us, and check out the remaining events on Transmoto’s 2023 Enduro Event calendar.

The only tweak to the 2023 calendar is the 8-Hour at Miva Station – which was the sole Queensland-based event slated for 2023. Originally scheduled for June 24-25, the 2023 Transmoto 8-Hour at Miva will unfortunately be delayed as we continue to work through event approval and permitting issues with Gympie Council.

We know many people were looking to get back to this killer location in 2023, but the short of it is this. The 2022 Miva Station event ran under a “One-off special event permit”, but the Gympie Council is now requiring landowners to undergo a “Material Change Of Use” Development Application on their property, which has attracted significant costs and extensive time delays.

We won’t bore you with the details (and if you are a club operating events in Queensland, you may have bumped into this red tape “Material Change of Use” requirements with other councils), but it basically means the event can’t proceed until the permissions have been granted. This is still a work in progress, and we are currently exploring other options in order to get it approved.

As soon as we have more information about the revised date for Miva Station, we’ll let everybody know.

If you were all geared up for the Miva event, why not consider a road trip with your riding posse south of the border for the inaugural running of the Transmoto 8-Hour at Clarence Valley (scheduled for four weeks after the Miva date, on July 22-23). After all, if you’re based on the Gold Coast, the Clarence Valley venue (located 40 minutes inland of Grafton) is only a three-hour trip. And our math has it at around four hours’ drive from Brisbane. Entries for this event will open up on May 30, so click ‘Going’ on the Facebook page here to receive the notifications.

Whatever Transmoto event you sign up for, you’re in for a memorable weekend’s worth of road-tripping, race-your-mates, bench-racing, snag-searing good times!
