There are a few options to consider when signing up for a Transmoto Enduro. We’ve broken them down for you to make sure you get the most out of your weekend.

Remember, these things are about having fun and at the end of the day, you get a $2 trophy and bragging rights over the boys if you take the win. No one really cares who the winners or losers are, so just pick the options that are best suited to your riding ability and fitness level.

Class Options

  • Ironman
  • Pairs
  • Team of 3
  • Team of 4

Note: Teams of 3 and Teams of 4 will be grouped together for the Class results.



  • You’re a fit fucker, or at least very bike fit.
  • You know how to fuel your body to prepare for and get you through the challenge.
  • You’re slightly tapped in the head and have a high pain threshold (iron-clad arse and hands like a rigger are a bonus).
  • Your bike’s in good enough nick to last the distance.
  • You’ve got have plenty of spares, in case of the inevitable.
  • You’ve got a mate who can help you out on race day with moral and mechanical support, and drive your withered body home on Sunday night.
  • You like the idea of taking home an Ironman cape as a memento of your: a) bucketlist challenge completed, or b) delusional stupidity.



  • You and your partner are fit and have roughly the same riding ability.
  • Both of you are more focused on racing, setting some good times, and having a crack at the leader board.
  • You’re happy to accept you could end up racing solo if your partner is taken out by injury or a mechanical.
  • Your bikes are reliable and mechanically tuned in for the challenge.
  • You think you can maintain a decent rhythm for six, eight or 10 hours.



Team of 3

  • You’re reasonably fit, or at least get on the bike fairly regularly.
  • The event isn’t your first decent ride for a couple of months.
  • You get it that the weekend is more memorable when shared with some mates.
  • You’re there to have fun, but still keep a sneaky eye on lap times (especially how you compare with your teammates) and are more competitive than you let on.


Team of 4

  • It’s your first race (or the only race of the year).
  • Recent years have been tough on the rig and your once chiseled six-pack looks more like a single Dunlop tyre these days.
  • You’re there to have fun and create epic memories with your teammates – from the road trip to the entire camping and racing experience.
  • If your team does well, you’re front and centre claiming it; if your team tanks, you’ve got three goons in your corner to blame.
  • You like the idea of using a teammate’s bike if yours starts running like a donkey.
  • You don’t give a rat’s arse about the results, but quietly reckon you might be a chance for a decent place (or even a podium) in one of the less-populated Team Categories.
  • You’ve got a few teams of mates at the event and the only race that matters is which team finishes last.



Once you’ve decided on your class entry, you’ll need to select one of the following categories. Pick the one that best represents your team because this is how we allocate the plastic trophies and a few of the prizes we get from our sponsors.

  1. Weekend Warriors (no rider to have ever raced professionally, no sponsor hook-ups or dealer support, paid your own entry fee);
  2. Young Guns (all riders under 23, as of the event date);
  3. Wise Wizards (average rider age must be at least 50, as of the event date);
  4. Mixed (at least one female rider);
  5. Wonder Women (all female riders); or
  6. Open (general team entry, if you’re not eligible for any of the above Categories).
