Howdy, sweep riders! Firstly, thanks to everyone who got involved with a Transmoto event in 2024.

Keen to back it up? It’s now time to throw your hat in the ring to sweep the 2025 Transmoto events.

Click this link to register your interest, but before doing so, please scroll down and have a read of the information below, as there have been some changes to the program for 2025.

And if you’re not across the dates, here’s the calendar.

As mentioned above, there are a few changes to the program for 2025…

Here’s the bones of it:

  • Motorcycling Australia (MA) now requires all sweep riders to hold a minimum of a One Event Recreational Licence (OERL). If you do not meet this minimum requirement, an OERL can be purchased for $43. Note that 100% of this OERL cost goes to MA – ie, Transmoto doesn’t retain any of it.
  • Once you register your interest in a certain event, Transmoto will send you an online registration form (usually 4-6 weeks prior to the event), so you can formally sign up as a sweep for the event and purchase your licence.
  • Alternatively, sweep riders can purchase an annual Recreational Licence through Ridernet for $151.
  • All sweeps must be over 18 years of age.
  • All sweeps must complete a rider competency assessment (this will be done at the event after sweeps briefing), but if you have your road bike licence, you won’t need to do this.
  • All sweeps must attend the 2pm Saturday sweeps briefing and 4pm general riders briefing.

What do I get for sweeping?

  • Loop the track all day without paying an entry fee (including a sighting lap on Saturday).
  • Be part of the operations team that helps riders to complete the race safely.
  • A complimentary event T-shirt (handed out at the end of the event on Sunday).
  • A “Transmoto Sweeps” trailer/bike sticker.
  • Coffee, breakfast and lunch is provided on Sunday (race day).
  • A thank-you handshake and a few cold tins when the race is over.

What do I do next?

Look forward to seeing you again soon.
