Boo-yah! How good was that? Finally, after a few bushfire- and pandemic-sponsored false starts, the first Transmoto Enduro Event of the year is in the books. And what a cracker of an event it was. After 250mm of rain over the past three weeks, the Manning Valley region was blessed with blue skies and 18-20º temps for the entire Transmoto 6-Hour weekend at Nabiac. And 370-odd riders made the absolute most of what was, for a majority, their first race of the entire year.
Racing a shortened 10km loop – that was part primo sand whoops and part Kamfari-style croc-swamp survival – riders had a hell of a time just to keep circulating on the rough-as-guts Nabiac track. But everyone was up for the challenge, and there were ding-dong battles all day long up and down the entire field, which was made up of everyone from first-time racers to national champs.
Here’s a snapshot of how they all fared: the results for the Outright, the Teams Outright, the Pairs class, and the various Team Categories, plus all the laptimes. Happy bench racing, friends…
