Which Transmoto Enduro Events are you keen to race in 2026?

EVENT OVERVIEW

HISTORY: After the first running at this fantastic venue in 2024 – which was the first Transmoto event to ever be held in the North West Slopes region of NSW – the 8-Hour will head back to Narrabri for the third running in 2026. Which is great news because this region’s terrain gives this 8-Hour a very different feel to those run closer to the coast.

LOCATION: The venue is about 35 mins northeast of Narrabri, which sits at the junction of the Kamilaroi and Newell Highways in the North West Slopes of NSW. The property is called “Castletop” (also known as Bike Territory) – a family-owned sheep and cattle property and a stay-and-ride venue.

TERRAIN: Situated in the Nandewar Ranges, Castletop’s land runs from the flats along Rocky Creek, through open paddocks and ridges, and up into the mountains. With 7500+ acres of riding terrain to play with, the 8-Hour’s race loop utilises a bunch of all-new tracks, specifically cut-in for the event. So, picture a mega mix of big-paddock grasstrack, rocky hillclimbs, flowing tree-lined singletrack, and incredible vistas!

THE REGION: Narrabri isn’t just a township at the junction of the Kamilaroi and Newell Highways. It’s a major hub for cotton-growing, wheat, beef and lamb agricultural industries. Just to the south is the Pilliga Forest, the largest remnant temperate forest in Eastern Australia. Nearby attractions include Mount Kaputar National Park, and the Australia Telescope Compact Array at the Paul Wild Observatory (administered by the CSIRO). And for film buffs, Narrabri is also home to The Crossing Theatre, a famous 1000-seat auditorium and cinema complex.

JUNIORS & LADIES LOOP: A special 6-8km non-competitive Juniors/Ladies Loop will also run on Saturday, June 20, at the 2026 Transmoto 8-Hour at Narrabri, so bring the whole family.

ABOUT TRANSMOTO EVENTS

They’re teams-based dirt bike endurance events that are staged on hand-picked private properties, sit somewhere between a trailbike rally and an enduro race, and cater to riders with average to advanced riding skills. Think fun-focused, weekend-long, roadtrip-fuelled, family-friendly events; where you camp out on Saturday night, and then race your mates around Sunday’s custom-built loop aboard any type of dirt bike – taking it as seriously (or not) as you like. For some entrants, it’s about upstaging their mates. But for most, it’s simply about the challenge of getting to Sunday’s chequered flag.

Right from the very first Transmoto Enduro Event in 2011, our goal has always been to throw memorable events for people who just want to get out there to ride epic locations with their buddies; to lap up the relaxed atmosphere and go home with a smile on their dials.
