Hosted in the hinterland of Coffs Harbour, the premium private property in the motorcycle-friendly town of Ulong (where the 2007 Australian 4-Day Enduro was hosted with rave reviews of venue and riding terrain), this all-new Transmoto venue is set to be one don’t want to miss. Transmoto Track Director, Lyndon Heffernan, who ran Detour Tours in the Coffs region for many years, still raves about the area: “Coffs and the inland townships of Ulong and Dorrigo have long been notorious riding destinations for off-road fanatics in Oz, so it’s a great opportunity for Transmoto to expand its Enduro Events into ‘Big Banana’ territory in 2019. I still think about the memorable 4-Day we ran in the area in 2007, and especially that grasstrack special test that spectators could watch from Ulong pub. The track builder for this new 8-Hour, Hayden Timms, has created one of the best loops we’ll see all year with the perfect combination of grasstrack and bush trails to suit riders of all skill levels.” The Ulong Ex-Services Club has offered up their special viewing platform, where patrons, public and fans will be able to watch the action in comfort, and with access to a full range of food and beverages. And the Ulong General Store will have all the coffee, food and supplies you’ll need, plus they’ll assist with the P&C food stalls to ensure all participants are well fed and happy all weekend. The crew from local dealership, Coffs KTM, are pumped to help get you ready for your ride. And finally, thanks to our series partners, KTM Australia, we will be giving away a brand new, 2019-model KTM dirt bike to one lucky entrant.
THE ‘VIBE OF THE THING’
Rider etiquette has always been a big part of Transmoto’s events. We encourage good sportsmanship, care and courtesy towards other riders because we want everyone to have a good, positive experience – whether that’s on the track, in the camping area, or on the access roads leading to and from the event venue.
