As of 20th August 2024, Motorcycling Australia’s One Event Competition Licenses (OECLs) at Transmoto events will be increasing to $100 per rider (up from $85).  One Event Recreational Licenses (for Junior and Ladies rides on Saturdays) will be increasing to $43 (up from $30).

If you are unfamiliar with the process, all Transmoto events are sanctioned, permitted and insured by Motorcycling Australia and their subsequent insurance arm MAIL.

All riders in Transmoto events are required to have either a Motorcycling Australia National Annual Race License a One Event Competition License or a Recreational One Event License (for Juniors or Ladies riding on Saturday only).

This License provides personal accident coverage for riders through MAIL.

What does that mean?

If you plan on riding a few MA sanctioned events, it’s worth considering purchasing an Annual License here. If you are just entering one or two Transmoto events per year, you can purchase your OECL through the standard Transmoto entry process (it’s an option for all riders when you complete your Transmoto entry form).

100% of this fee goes directly back to the State Controlling Bodies (Motorcycling NSW, QLD, VIC, etc) and then back to Motorcycling Australia.

Transmoto does not retain any revenue from One Event Competition Licenses or Recreational Licenses and is not responsible for this increase in cost to the participant (sorry folks, just passing it on).

The fees generated from these Licenses assist Motorcycling Australia and their State Controlling Bodies to continue to promote and develop two-wheeled sport in this country, which Transmoto whole-heartedly supports.
