ALL-NEW QLD VENUE REVEALED: COOBY DAM
Righto, listen up… there’s been a few tweaks to the 2021 Transmoto Enduro Event calendar.
First up, we’re stoked to be able to announce an all-new venue in Queensland for 2021: Cooby Dam, on June 26-27.
The Cooby Dam venue is situated in the rolling hills of Queensland’s Darling Downs region, on the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range. It’s 30 minutes drive north of Toowoomba, two hours drive west of Brisbane, and home to big-horizon farming country. The open spaces of the venue’s 3000-acre private property, situated near Cooby Dam itself, provides a big canvass for a flowing race loop that includes a variety of terrain – from undulating grasstrack to flowing firetrail to bush-lined singletrail to a unique section of rocky creekbed. This epic venue also boasts a spectacular camping area – a huge, flat grassy pit paddock with a quaint old-school timber cottage at its centre that’ll be incorporated into the Event HQ with fire pits and fancy lighting for atmosphere.
There are also a couple of date changes to the original event calendar:
- The 8-Hour at Cooby Dam is now on June 26-27 (moved from June 19-20); and
- The 8-Hour at Clarence Valley is now on August 21-22 (moved from August 28-29).
