EVENT OVERVIEW
HISTORY: In 2011, the Transmoto 12-Hour at Batemans Bay was where it all began for Transmoto’s events. Yep, it was home to the very first installment of these teams-based dirt bike endurance events, which went on to capture the hearts and minds of the Australian trail and enduro riding fraternity. This unique property played host to 10 consecutive annual 12-Hour events up till 2020. That’s why it’s so exciting in 2026, when the original Transmoto event will be returning to its original venue in the NSW South Coast’s picturesque hinterland.
LOCATION: The Transmoto 12-Hour is held on two adjoining private properties in the Buckenbowra State Forest, about 30km inland from Batemans Bay on the NSW South Coast. Thanks to recent road improvements, the 12-Hour venue is now within four and hours’ drive of Sydney and Canberra, respectively.
TERRAIN: The one-off, custom-made race loop will take the average rider between 20 and 30 minutes to complete a lap of. It includes a challenging (but not intimidating) combination of singletrack, creek-crossings, fire road and natural-terrain grasstrack sections, with ‘chicken line’ options for any sections some riders may consider a too technical. So, while the loop’s terrain itself doesn’t have any particularly technical sections or obstacles, it’ll definitely get chewed out and rough over the course of 12 hours use and abuse, and is not for the faint-hearted.
THE REGION: The South Coast region of NSW has long been known for its pristine beaches and inlets, huge surfing population, fantastic fishing, lush hinterland and abundance of awesome hiking trails – all of which many Transmoto 12-Hour entrants in years past took full advantage of. Hey, why not use the 12-Hour as an excuse for an extended long-weekend road-trip and a bit of regional sightseeing with your riding posse, right? Exactly!

ABOUT TRANSMOTO EVENTS
They’re teams-based dirt bike endurance events that are staged on hand-picked private properties, sit somewhere between a trailbike rally and an enduro race, and cater to riders with average to advanced riding skills. Think fun-focused, weekend-long, roadtrip-fuelled, family-friendly events; where you camp out on Saturday night, and then race your mates around Sunday’s custom-built loop aboard any type of dirt bike – taking it as seriously (or not) as you like. For some entrants, it’s about upstaging their mates. But for most, it’s simply about the challenge of getting to Sunday’s chequered flag.
Right from the very first Transmoto Enduro Event in 2011, our goal has always been to throw memorable events for people who just want to get out there to ride epic locations with their buddies; to lap up the relaxed atmosphere and go home with a smile on their dials.
